TRUMPF TruLaser 5030 fiber laser was built in 2015 in Germany by Trumpf GmbH + Co. KG. The machine, which is designed for precision machining of sheet metal made of among others structural steel, copper and aluminium, is characterised by the use of state-of-the-art technical solutions that significantly affect the cutting quality and expand the machine’s machining capabilities. Laser cutting is performed by means of a stable fibre-optic beam with a maximum power of 5 kW, which is flexibly guided from the resonator to the cutting head with an adaptive lens system. This system ensures optimum beam geometry for different sheet thicknesses and materials, resulting in the highest cutting quality, at maximum feed rates.
