CHIRON FZ 18 KL CNC vertical machining center was built in 2000 in
Germany by CHIRON Werke GmbH & Co. KG. The machine is used for
precise, multi-axis machining of workpieces with complex geometries.
For this task, the work space has been equipped with reliable
components in the form of, among others, a hydraulically clamped
spindle and a 40-position tool magazine. In addition, in order to
ensure excellent movement dynamics, all linear axes (X,Y,Z) are driven
by a high-performance servomotor with HFUC 50-100 harmonic
transmission. The CHIRON FZ 18K L HIGH SPEED CNC machining center is
offered with a wide range of equipment, including e.g. a 4th axis that
is fully integrated into the numerical control and operated via
M-codes. The total weight of the machine is 10000 kg.
