White onion peeling machine.
The machine consists of three modules: a hopper from which the onion
is transferred by a conveyor belt to the sorter. At the sorter there
are two workers who sort the onions on both sides, put the usable ones
in the holders and throw the damaged or spoiled onions onto the middle
conveyor belt ordering them to evaporate. The onions suitable for
further processing are conveyed in the incision holder by specially
designed knives and then fall onto the rotating rollers. After turning
the onion several times, a high-pressure air stream blows away the
corresponding layers of the onion down to the white layer. The onion
then falls on the sorting table, where it is picked up by an employee
and placed in collective packages.
