JANUS HTC2050 CNC lathe was built in Poland in 2010. The machine,
characterised by high stability and operational reliability, uses the
necessary equipment for high-speed and finishing machining, allowing
for precise machining of internal holes, columns, cones, arches and
all types of screw threads.
The machine uses a high-speed spindle with infinitely variable
rotation speed from 40 to 4000 rpm and a bed inclined by 45°, which
facilitates chip removal and increases the cutting force transmitted
by the horizontal bed and its head. Rear and front spindle angular
contact bearings simultaneously transfer radial and axial loads,
ensuring low spindle temperature rise and less thermal deformation
during high-speed finishing. The JANUS lathe equipment includes a
state-of-the-art FANUC Series 0i Mate-TC CNC controller, a chip
conveyor and the tools shown in the photos. The total weight of the
machine is 5000 kg.
