The ProCepT SD1 spray dryer is designed for formulation and process development as well as small-scale clinical production. The device enables spray drying of samples with a capacity of 0.5 ml to several liters. The equipment is used in preclinical and clinical applications with the ability to continuously process water in the range of 0.1-15 ml/min (0.01-11/h) (higher for organic solvents), with typical batch sizes from 100 mg to several kg dry product.
The operator can monitor and control every critical process parameter using a computer with a touch panel. The software provides complete data recording with tracks.

The dryer uses a nitrogen recirculation system to process larger amounts of solvents. Solvents are recovered using a condenser system cooled by an external recirculation chiller.
The device monitors the oxygen content.
