TRUMPF TruLaser Cell 7040 3D laser built in 2015 in Germany is the
ideal solution for versatile cutting, welding and laser metal
deposition (LMD). For all these tasks, the TRUMPF 3D laser cutting
machine uses the TruDisk 4001 semiconductor laser and a specially
designed 3D head with 5 axes, which can machine not only flat
workpieces, but also tubes, closed profiles and very complex shapes.
All of this makes this extremely technically advanced machine capable
of tackling any challenge in the broad field of automotive
engineering.
The workpiece placed on one of two work tables is machined by an
extremely stable laser beam with a power of up to 4 kW. During
machining, the head moves in the three-dimensional cartesian
coordinate system and rotates in two axes in the polar coordinate
system. This is what gives the universal 3D laser its extraordinary
quality and precision, impossible to achieve with other standard
machines.
The TruLaser Cell 7040 is also an ideal alternative for milling
complex, three-dimensional shapes. The laser beam can both cut
workpieces as well as trim external contours and produce
through-holes. The workpieces can also be subjected to remedial
welding and the coating by laser pad welding, after which the
workpiece achieves a much longer durability. Comprehensive laser
machining by welding and cutting out three-dimensional parts allows
completely new possibilities for shaping the geometry of the
workpiece.
The offered TRUMPF TruLaser Cell 7040 4kW FIBER laser is additionally
equipped with, among others, an intuitive CNC control system with
touchscreen and a RIEDEL cooling device. The total weight of the
machine is approximately 8500 kg.
The entire machine, including the associated tooling and
instrumentation, and considering the area occupied by the two
extendable, movable work tables moving on tracks in the floor,
occupies a rectangular area with sides of ~15 m and ~9 m
respectively.
