L8 Crane:

radio controlled EAF charging crane (operated from ground floor protective area).
100t main hoist, 16t auxiliary hoist.
3t monorail whip hoist for servicing LF2 electrodes.


Pitbay Operation

Three (3) cranes in Pitbay.



L1 Hot Metal Crane:

100t main hoist, 10t auxiliary South side, 15t auxiliary North side.


L3 Hot Metal Crane:

100t main hoist, 15t auxiliary North side.


Old Charge Bay (South of Pitbay)

Also known as Alloy Bay / Dressing Shop.

Two (2) cranes in old charge bay.



L4 Crane:

50t main hoist, 3t whip hoist,15t auxiliary hoist.
Used to change DH Degasser Vessel and load alloys.


F2 crane:

12.5t hoist.
Used to charge bar heat treatment furnace and service maintenance spare roof and
water-cooled panel service area.



Billet Caster Cranes:

Two cranes in Caster area.



CC3 Crane:

100t main hoist, 15t auxiliary hoist.


CC4 crane:

Pendant crane.
10t single beam.
Located in separate bay outside caster building.
Services tundish area and ingot discharge.
